A diorama on the coasts of the Gulf
Discover the smallest, wildest and the least contaminated of the three islands in the Gulf: Procida. Arriving by gozzo or motorboat, you will be fascinated by the bright colors of the fishermen’s houses, by the glittering domes of the churches and by the signs of the many shops and trattorias that overlook the harbor: here time seems to have stopped.
What you’ll see
Starting from the village of Chiaiolella, after the peaks of Solchiaro and Pizzaco, we arrive at the old fishing village called “Corricella”. From here the tour will continue towards the “Grotta del Bue Marino”, where it will be possible to take a relaxing swim and will continue along the “Spiaggia della Lingua”, “Spiaggia della Marina Grande della Silurense”, Punta Faro, Punta Fiumicello and the famous beach of “Pozzo Vecchio” also known as the beach from “The Postman” movie.
It will also be possible to visit the island by land to admire the Castle of Avalos, a former Procida built by the Bourbon in the 1500s, the Abbey of San Michele and the Marina Grande. Finally, before leaving the island, you cannot miss a visit to the nature reserve on the islet of Vivara.
